Peer Review Process
Applied Sciences for Future Development
Applied Sciences for Sustainable Future follows a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and relevance of all published manuscripts. Both the identities of the authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review process.
Authors submit their manuscripts via the journal’s online submission system or by the designated email.
Each submission must follow the journal’s formatting and ethical guidelines.
The Editor-in-Chief or an assigned Associate Editor evaluates the manuscript for scope, relevance, and adherence to formatting requirements.
Manuscripts failing to meet these basic criteria may be rejected without external review.
Suitable manuscripts are assigned to at least two independent experts in the relevant field.
Reviewers are selected based on expertise, impartiality, and absence of conflicts of interest.
Reviewers assess the manuscript for originality, methodology, clarity, significance of results, and relevance to the journal’s scope.
They provide constructive feedback and make one of the following recommendations:
Accept as is
Minor revisions required
Major revisions required
Reject
The editorial team reviews the feedback from all reviewers and makes a final decision.
Authors receive a decision letter, which may include reviewer comments and revision requests.
If revisions are required, authors must address all reviewer comments and submit a revised version within the specified deadline.
The revised manuscript may be sent back to the original reviewers for a second evaluation.
Once the manuscript meets all scientific, ethical, and formatting standards, it is accepted for publication.
Authors receive a formal acceptance letter by email.
The accepted manuscript undergoes copyediting, formatting, and proofreading.
Authors review the final proofs before online and/or print publication.
Any errors detected after publication may result in corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern, in accordance with COPE guidelines.
